Most women who contact me have never done anything like this before.
Some have been thinking about it for months. Others come across the page while looking for something else entirely and feel an unexpected pull, a small, private what if. A few make a decision within hours. Most take longer, which is perfectly fine.
Whatever brings you here, you do not need to arrive with a clear reason, a particular body or any idea of how to pose. Almost nobody does.
What I have noticed is that the hesitation people feel before booking rarely has much to do with photography. It has to do with how they feel about being seen. That is a different thing entirely and it is something we can work with.
What boudoir photography actually means
The word boudoir carries a lot of associations and not all of them are accurate.
Some people hear it and immediately picture lingerie. Others imagine something overtly sexual or made primarily for someone else's benefit. Some are not entirely sure what they are imagining but they know they feel drawn to something.
My approach is closer to portraiture that happens to be intimate.
I am interested in you - the person in front of my camera. The way you hold yourself, what changes when you stop thinking about being watched, your face when it is neither performing nor hiding. That is where the strongest photos tend to come from.
What you wear or don't wear is one detail among many. Some clients choose lingerie. Some prefer a favourite shirt, a blazer, something that belongs to their daily life. Some want implied nudity. Some want nothing at all. We discuss this before the session and nothing is decided without your input.
The aesthetic I work towards is cinematic and unhurried, light and texture and shadow, an atmosphere that belongs to the person rather than the setting.
Who books a boudoir photoshoot
There is no typical answer and I mean that genuinely.
Women in their twenties book sessions. Women in their fifties book sessions. Women who have just ended a long relationship. Women who have just begun one. Women who have spent years looking after everyone else and decided, with some mix of determination and slight embarrassment, to do something entirely for themselves. Women who simply want photos that belong to them, not to their business, their family or their professional image.
What surprises people is how often they arrive assuming they are somehow the exception.
Too old. Too shy. Not photogenic enough. I need to lose some weight first. I don't know how to pose.
These are not reasons to wait. They are, in my experience, almost always the feelings that disappear somewhere during the session, not because I say reassuring things but because the photos start existing and they don't look like what the person feared.
THE EXPERIENCE
Before the session
Once you get in touch, we arrange a video call to discuss what you have in mind, what to bring, how to prepare and anything you would rather ask before the day itself. Nothing is too small to ask.
On the day
Sessions take place in my home studio in Anderlecht, Brussels. A calm, minimal attic space with slanted ceilings, a white cyclorama wall and natural light coming from two sides. It is private and quiet, with nothing theatrical about it. The kind of space where it is possible to forget, at least for a while, that you are being photographed.
A professional makeup artist is included in every session. She arrives before we begin. You will not be transformed into someone else, we are creating a gentle transition between arriving and beginning. It makes a difference to how the first twenty minutes feel.
The photoshoot itself lasts up to two hours. I guide the entire process. You are not expected to know what to do with your hands, how to stand or which angle works. That is my job. Most people feel slightly self-conscious in the first few minutes and noticeably less so by the time we are halfway through.
Sessions can also take place at your home if a familiar space suits you better, or in a hotel for something more atmospheric. If you have a specific setting in mind, we can discuss it.
After the session
You receive a private online gallery with watermarked previews usually within two weeks, then you choose what you want.
Final photos are professionally retouched and delivered in both colour and black and white.
Privacy
This is worth saying clearly, because it matters.
Your photos are not published, shared or used in any way without your explicit permission.
Some clients later decide they are happy to appear in my portfolio. Some prefer to keep everything entirely private. Both are common and neither requires any explanation.
The trust that makes a boudoir session possible is not something I take lightly. You are in complete control of what happens to your photos, from the moment you see the gallery to long after you leave.
Digital collections
Session fee: €249 Includes professional makeup and full guidance throughout.
Digital photos: €60 per photo Minimum purchase of 5 photos.
The starting point for a complete boudoir session, including the session fee and your first five retouched photos, is €549. You are welcome to purchase as many additional photos as you wish, at €60 each.
I work this way because it means you decide which photos you want after you have seen them, not before, based on a package you cannot yet picture.
Albums, folio boxes and wall art
A digital file on a phone or a hard drive is easy to forget about. An album is not.
I care about this more than I probably should. There is something particular about a physical object that holds photographs, the weight of it, the paper, the fact that it sits on a shelf and gets picked up. Decades from now, when neither of us is around, someone will open that album. That matters to me and I think it matters more than most people realise when they first book a session.
Physical products are available separately, in any combination with or without digital photos.

Folio boxes from €300 Loose prints in a box. A different way to hold photos, more intimate than a gallery, more tactile than a screen.
Wall art from €200 For the photo that deserves a wall. Available in several formats and sizes.
Collections can be discussed and ordered after you have seen your gallery and made your photo selection.
FAQ
Do I need to be a particular age or size?
No. Sessions work for women from their twenties to their sixties and beyond. There is no body type this is built for and no version of yourself you need to arrive as. If you have been telling yourself you will do this once you look different, I would gently suggest reconsidering that plan.
What should I wear?
We discuss this before the session and there are no rules. Lingerie is one option among many. Some of the strongest photos I have made involved a simple white shirt, a knitted jumper or almost no styling at all. I will give you guidance based on what you want the photos to feel like and what works in the space.
Will I feel awkward?
Very probably for the first ten minutes or so. Then usually not. This is normal and I know how to work with it. It is not something you need to manage or apologise for.
Can my photos remain completely private?
Yes. Nothing is published without your explicit permission.
How long does the session take?
Around one hour for makeup and up to two hours for the photoshoot, approximately three hours in total.
Do you help with posing?
Yes, throughout the entire session. Most people have never done a photoshoot like this before and I don't expect them to arrive knowing how.
How long until I receive my photos?
Preview galleries are usually delivered within two weeks of the session. Final retouched photos are delivered after you have made your selection.
Do I have to buy digital photos or can I order an album instead?
You can do either, or both. Some clients order only digital photos. Some order only a physical product. Many do both. There is no requirement to buy digitals in order to have an album made.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, if that makes you feel more comfortable. Many clients find they prefer being alone once they arrive but the option is there if you want it.
Where is the studio?
The studio is in Anderlecht, Brussels, well connected by public transport and with free street parking directly outside. I will send you full details once we have confirmed a session.
Boudoir Photography in Brussels and beyond
My studio is based in Anderlecht, Brussels and is easily reachable from across the Brussels region and surrounding areas, including Leuven, Ghent, Antwerp, Waterloo and the wider Belgian territory.
I also photograph on location, at your home, in a hotel or in outdoor settings for clients who want something different from a studio environment.
If you are travelling from outside Brussels, we can discuss logistics as part of the initial conversation.
A note on how I work
Alongside boudoir photography, I photograph personal branding sessions, executive portraits and corporate headshots across Brussels and Belgium. The two sides of my work sit further apart than they might appear and closer together than most people expect.
What boudoir photography asks of a client is a different kind of presence than a professional portrait session. There is no role to perform, no brand to project, no specific impression to create. What remains is simply a person in front of a camera.
In my experience, that is where some of the most interesting photos happen.
